EMS Web Services Interface
Extends the powerful capability of the EMS award-winning digital media services platform
The need to integrate digital media with other applications and business processes is growing in step with the demand for its rapid creation, delivery and consumption. This includes publishing layout software, video editing tools, workflow and BPM engines, enterprise resource planning (ERP), content delivery networks, Web content management systems, and marketing portals.Web services are widely accepted today for flexible integration between enterprise software, infrastructure and applications. That’s why ClearStory extends the power of our digital media services platform with a DAM Web Services Interface.
The ClearStory Web Services Interface complements the open-standards, high interoperability of our contemporary DAM software solutions. Based on an easy-to-use Web Services Framework, the Interface makes it easier to rapidly develop applications on our Enterprise Media Server platform. And applications using the Interface can leverage digital media managed by ActiveMedia, our Web-based DAM application, which is built on EMS.
Provides rapid integration using common Web Services standards
- Web Services Description Language (WSDL)
- Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)
- Extensible Markup Language (XML)
The interface provides a core set of services for building secure, scalable, high-performing digital media applications. It enforces EMS’s asset-level security model, so users can only execute services and assets for which they have privileges and permissions.
.NET or Java EE
The Web Services Interface allows ClearStory’s Java EE-based enterprise digital asset management (DAM) software to work with .NET environments. This provides our customers and development partners with the industry’s most interoperable and platform-agnostic digital media solution.
